People's non-face-to-face activities are increasing due to the coronavirus.
As a result, more and more companies are using Zoom for video conferencing or
using Zepeto or Gather Town, which are metabus programs, for work.
Nike is also planning to hold a non-face-to-face event using Gather Town this time.
The general background images provided by Gather Town have many difficulties in reflecting the characteristics of each company,
and the composition is simple, so there are limitations in creating a sense of space.
Therefore, background images suitable for the characteristics of the company are being produced using external programs.
Nike also needed a background image that reflected their characteristics well.
Since I mainly work on artwork with an isometric composition, Nike asked me to design a background image to use in Gather Town.
Nike showed examples of other companies and delivered the desired direction to me,
and designed it hard and handed it over, but Nike did not like the draft I made.
This is because Nike wanted a background image that revealed the artist's characteristics well.
It was a very tight schedule project, and after that, I couldn't sleep well for three days due to new work.
In the end, I was able to complete an image that reflected the same characteristics as my works, and Nike also liked the image very much.
In the case of Gather Town, avatars can only move in four directions: front, back, left, and right.
Therefore, it does not match the image of the isometric composition.
However, there is an opinion that companies want a customized background image that reflects
their characteristics and that they want a better sense of space.
For this reason, companies want a background image of the isometric composition.
